History: 
Born to a pair of mechanics, Marita absolutely loved to tinker and delve into the inner body of things. In fact, her first word was "gear" so it was no surprise that once she turned 15 she apprenticed under her parents as a mechanic. Of course, it had to be done in secret, and she kept her cover up by becoming a pianist. While Marita learned much and became great in both her mechanic skills and her piano skills, she felt trapped still. Mostly because her true passions lied with traveling in the massive sky ships that would briefly cast massive shadows over her and shine majestically in the sun. She wanted to work on them and be able to enjoy the freedom of being so high up and away from society.  Her dreams were realized at 20, when after flawlessly repairing an old sky ship engine, her talent was noticed by the main professor of a sailing academy. So, with her parents' blessings, Marita was taken in by the professor and shed her disguise. Over the next five years, she learned the inner working of all manner of ships, and how to fix and/or build them all. After graduation, she was recommended to a popular pilot/captain and he instantly took a liking to her, allowing Marita into his crew. Marita is forever grateful to those who helped her achieve her life's dream.

Appearance: Marita is well-built and hardy, but obviously feminine in shape and size and curves. Tall for a woman from her country, she's a like a living version of sunlight. Tanned from her time out, her skin is smooth and fairly olive, while her hair-a mass of imperfect curls- are a medium caramel-it used to be darker, but the sun has slightly bleached it- and while usually pinned up, goes to just between her shoulders. While she isn't always clean and well-dressed, she takes pretty good care of herself and manages a pretty appearance. Her skin is a combo of smooth and calloused from work, occasionally a few scars dot her arms and legs from the more strenous jobs. Marita's got very bright green eyes that are deep-set and almond-shaped, Roman nose just slightly crooked-she broke it once during her apprencticeship, a bolt busted and clocked her right in the nose- and a heart-shaped face. She always carries a small tool pouch and a pair of goggles, as she can be called to fix something out of the blue. She dresses simple: usually in dark reds, browns, and black. Most often, she's either smiling or hidden in the bodies of ships. 

Personality: Marita is talkative and carries herself with an easy going pride. She know she's got it good and that she's damn good at her job. The other crew members respect her and treat her as one of their own, even like an older sister. It gives her almost as much authority as the pilot of the airship, though that's partially because she's also the QuarterMaster of the airship. Marita talks fast and loud-used to having to yell often while working, and getting things said quickly. That being said, she's incredibly fast-paced, from her walk speed to her patience level. She likes things to be done ASAP, unless delicacy and slowness is required to fix something. Marita's got a good head on her shoulders and is wonderfully resourceful. Also she likes to dote (though she doesn't spoil) on anyone she finds to be younger than her, being an only child. She takes her work seriously, almost becoming a completely different woman when working, commanding authority and confidence. Marita is an extraordinary woman in an extraordinary time, simple as that.
